Ann demeulenmeester

ann demeulemeester builds clothes out of contradiction: hard tailoring against soft draping,

black against bone white, romantic against severe. i wanted to know whether that tension

could survive the move from garment to screen, so i spent my film and motion design minor at

the university of europe in berlin finding out. built in after effects, layering footage, type and effect

until the edit moved the way the clothes do slow, deliberate, then suddenly sharp.
